WHAT WE DO
Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
Steve Main, the founder of Hometown Strong, grew up in Paradise, CA, and later relocated to Northern Nevada, contributing to the health club industry for over thirty years. In 2018, Camp Fire displaced over 50,000 citizens in the area. It touched Steve to see his lifelong friends and family in uncertainty, inspiring him to assist citizens of small towns. Hometown Strong provides food, assistance with paying essential bills, and other resources for citizens in need.

Steve founded Widow’s Mite, a similar organization, to help small businesses in Carson City, NV. Hometown Strong purchases goods from local businesses in the community, and gives them to families in financial uncertainty. Hometown Strong’s mission is to help all members of the Paradise community from local business owners to families. Each impact, big or small, Hometown Strong strives to restore and rebuild Paradise and its neighborhoods.
